A lovely cycle in the sunshine this morning along Stoke Lane, down by the River Trent. Had to stop and take a photograph of the majestic trees, shown above, splendid in their winter stance. On the way I spotted Daphne and Witch Hazel in bloom in Burton Joyce Cemetery and so stopped on the way back to photograph these winter flowering shrubs. The sugar pink Daphne smelt delicious and further brightened this winter's day. The Mahonia ,see below, is now fading a little but still looks glorious against the red winter berries the birds are devouring as quickly as they can, as colder weather and possibly snow is forecast for later in the week.

I am a CFS/Fibromyalgia sufferer and I get unduly tired and I hurt.
If I do too much I get wired and that is a horrendous state to be in, with intense pain flares and mental playbacks until it finally settles down, leaving you exhausted for days afterwards.
I am mostly safe from this in my home and garden in a steady routine but I want to get out more and to this end I've bought a Nottingham City Transport Travel Pass, a lightweight electric bike, and an e-foldi mobility scooter.**
This blog is about my travels. Short journeys, probably, for most people but big adventures for me.
Fibromyalgia/CFS What's Helped Me*
* this is my personal experience not a recommendation.
** I can usually walk well and easily when pottering about but if I walk far or more frequently my joints become swollen and painful.
